Ever heard of The Ordinary? It’s a cruelty-free skincare brand that flies off shelves and online stores and no, we’re not exaggerating. The majority of skincare addicts have at least one product by The Ordinary on their bathroom shelf. Kim Kardashian swears by the Granactive Retinoid Emulsion 2%, as part of her anti-ageing skincare routine. You can usually source a bottle (only 1 per customer!) of their best-selling “buffet” serum online.
As I was endlessly curious about the products other people’s favourites from The Ordinary’s catalogue of products.
Here’s the top 5 products you should definitely be adding their products to your beauty regime:
There’s a product for every skin concern. This formula targets multiple signs of aging at once. With a multitude of actives listed amongst the ingredient list, the “Buffet” offers a combination of the technologies used by high-end brands. Filled with Matrixyl 3000, it works hard to repair every cell, as well as moisture magnet hyaluronic acid.
Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
Hyaluronic acid offers multi-depth hydration and plumps the skin like no other. The Ordinary’s hyaluronic acid serum is the cheapest I’ve found. Apply to entire face morning and evening before heavier creams.
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% keeps selling out as everyone with spot prone skin is amazed with its ability to normalise pores and control excess oil production. This serum is suitable for acne-prone skin as it reduces the appearance of blemishes. Apply a few drops to your face AM and PM before applying your creams. It is advised to be used in combination with additional acne treatments if desired, for visible skin benefits.
100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil
Rose hip oil is both cold-pressed and organic and is rich in linoleic acid, linolenic acid and pro-vitamin A. It deeply nourishes the skin and reduces signs of photo-aging and many other skin conditions.
Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG
This light-textured formula contains an extremely high 5% concentration of caffeine, that wakes up tired skin and reduces under-eye puffiness and dark circles.
It is also supplied in UV-protective packaging, as EGCG is sensitive to light. Massage a small amount onto the eye contour AM and PM.
If you haven’t yet laid your hands on any of the products, I can guarantee you will be amazed with the results. Cheap doesn’t necessarily mean second rate.
