Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Setting Spray
What can I say about this setting spray? First of all, it’s lightweight, easy to use and it keeps makeup looking fresh for long hours. It is made with temperature control technology and is also suitable for all skin types.
It is undoubtedly my favourite for so many reasons! It actually does what it really promises. It keeps your makeup in place for up to 12 hours. It gives my skin an important moisture boost, and it feels extremely comfortable to wear. It also adapts to any skin and it makes you look (and feel) refreshed. The most important feature of this product is its ability to prevent foundation from oxidizing and looking cakey. On top of that, it smells heavenly. This one’s 5/5!
e.l.f. Matte Magic Mist & Set
First of all, this vegan (and cruelty free!) setting spray is infused with ingredients that are so good for your skin (vitamins B, E and Arctium Majus Root). It’s lightweight, it hydrates and soothes the skin. It’s super comfortable to wear and just in case you are on the hunt for a budget-friendly, drugstore setting spray it’s so affordable that it costs less than $5!
It improves makeup’s wearability while preventing it from running or fading. It is suitable for all skin types, especially for oily skin, as it mattifies your skin and keeps your foundation in place. Well done e.l.f 5/5!
KIKO Milano Face Make Up Fixer
This setting spray by the Italian brand Kiko, is fragrance-free so it’s mild on the face as it’s a non-sticky formula. Moreover, it’s easy to apply, and it makes your skin look smoother. It holds your makeup in place for up to 8 hours and it work best when it’s combined with a high-quality primer. With a cosmetic alcohol formula, it evaporates quickly setting your makeup prettily. It comes in a spray can and it’s easy to carry in your everyday handbag. It’s amazing for normal to combination and oily skin. Its Chamomile extract formula makes it suitable for dry skin. One of its cons is that it can leave your skin uneven so I’d rate it 4/5.
Maybelline Superstay 24 Makeup-Locking Setting Spray
Superstay 24 Makeup-Locking Setting Spray by Maybelline is easy to use and dries quickly as it gets absorbed into my skin rapidly. It also has an oil-free formula but it does not feel sticky, it’s actually quite refreshing on my skin. It extends the longevity of makeup and keeps it in place as it leaves your makeup looking matte. However, one of its cons is that the company has not specified the skin type it is suitable for. It’s a budget-friendly drugstore option if you have extremely oily or a combination skin type. Not an ideal solution if you have dry skin though so it’s 4/5 for me.
MAC Prep & Prime Fix + Makeup Setting Spray
This setting spray is refreshing as it contains hydrating properties such as vitamins, minerals and a blend of chamomile, green tea and cucumber to soothe your skin. It gives a natural finish and refreshes your makeup. It soothes your skin and it’s non-acnegenic as it is dermatologically tested. A must have for a dry skin as it hydrates deeply but if you have oily skin, don’t even try this as it’s super expensive.
GlamGlow Glowsetter Makeup Setting Spray
If you need a setting spray that allows you to re-apply makeup that’s already settled and dries fast, this is a must-have for all skin types! It’s easy to use, enriched with antioxidants and gives you the glow you need. It’s multifunctional as it can be used as a makeup setting spray and a skin refresher during a busy day. It soothes the skin as it’s loaded with antioxidant green, white and red teas to fight any redness. Its most important feature is that it contains caffeine to refresh dull and puffy skin. One of its cons is that if you have sensitive skin, it can irritate it as it contains fragrance.
Bobbi Brown Face Mist
Bobbi Brown is a well-reputed makeup brand, so you can feel my excitement. It’s easy to use and it comes to a travel-friendly packaging. It leaves my skin well and deeply hydrated as it spritzes evenly and dries up quickly. In addition, this takes the double as a setting spray and as a face mist throughout the day. The sweet notes of lavender and geranium will make you feel refreshed and it’s also suitable for all skin types. It’s quite expensive and if you have a sensitive skin, I wouldn’t recommend it as its essential oils may cause irritation.
