NCPMS SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

Cathy’s Corner2 http://forums.delphiforums.com/cathyscorner2/start (in conjunction with the NCPMS) is proud to present 3 scholarships for 3 individuals to participate in one NCPMS online workshop. These scholarships are available through the NCPMS Learning Center http://www.ncpmscenter.org/ ! Following is a current list of available workshops.

 Secret Shopping Writing Basics
 Secret Shopping Writing Advanced

Learning For Merchandisers
 Merchandising Basics
 Merchandising Advanced

For Secret Shoppers & Merchandisers
 Business Writing
 Contract Management
 Management & Budget
 Tax 101 for Independent Contractors

Scholarship Requirements

You must be a person of disability.
Meaning:
You are making frequent DR’s visits for yourself.
Have a medical condition that affects your daily living.
Has seriously affected your ability to make a financial contribution for yourself and family.

Or you are a Caretaker of an immediate family member with a serious time-consuming medical condition or disability. Meaning:
Making frequent DR’s visits and/or hospitalizations for the person you care for.
You assist the person you care for on a daily basis with their daily medical needs.
You transport this immediate family member for treatments for their medical condition on a regular basis.
Has seriously affected your ability to make a financial contribution for your family

Scholarship Expectations

Being a scholarship student brings with it a number of responsibilities that you need to be aware of and keep in mind. The following is a list of expectations for you as a scholarship student:

Your commitment to fully participate and to complete the workshop!
Your eagerness and willingness to learn and succeed!

How to apply:

Write a minimum 500 to maximum 750 word count essay of your current situation describing
1. The affect this disability or family member’s medical condition has had on your life—(Use the Scholarship Requirements above as an outline to describe your situation).
2. How being a mystery shopper or merchandiser can be the perfect job for your situation.
3. And how taking a class can help you meet your goal of being a successful mystery shopper or merchandiser.
4. Which class you would like to take.

Application deadline: January 2, 2004

Winners of the scholarships will be selected by Cathy Plumb and MarthaJB, hosts of Cathy’s Corner2. Their decision will be at their sole discretion and final! If chosen, you will be notified by email and funds will be paid directly to the NCPMS for your chosen class.

Be aware this is a one-time offer. If for ANY reason you cannot complete the workshop, there is no future “make-up” or chance to re-take it as a recipient of this scholarship. You may however, at your own expense, re-take or make-up any class.
