I recently completed my first assignment, and received my grade and feedback on my shop. My job log now says I was "paid" for the job on 12/03, but now it's 7:00 pm est on 12/04 and the funds haven't showed up in my PayPal account yet. Is it still likely going to be several weeks before the actual money shows up in my PayPal account, OR do I have to use PayPal's "Request Payment" option? I've confirmed the email Mystique has for me, and the email on my PayPal account are the same.

My recollection is that the job may show up as paid on the log a day before the email arrives from Paypal. You should not have to request payment nor wait weeks for payment from Mystique. They really do pay quickly! Just be patient a little longer. I would guess the funds will be in your account by tomorrow night, if they have not already arrived by the time you read this.
